$4,842.09

Still struggling away with this. I have played 37k hands so far and am still going nowhere with it. I have money across 3 sites now so I am going to be more active about finding good games especially when it comes to 6max as I have lost about $6k since this started in that game. I am doing really well at HU, currently beating 100nl for over 8BB/100 which I am happy enough with although I think I could do better than that. I play in bad games a lot just while I am waiting on players to play me. I have been having great fun on Everest trying to get someone to play me. Noone there knows who I am and there is no websites tracking it so its amazing how I can sit in and they won't even post the BB. The worst thing about it is that the players are really bad but I have no way of getting their money. Really badly hungover today so thats all I can write

$4,576.13

A bad day today in which I lost $500 and a few other losing sessions this week have knocked me back quite a bit. The variance at heads up is pretty severe and this is practically all I have been playing this month so far. Graph below of how things have been going since I started, my FTP balance is what I am basing my figures on, the software below might have missed the odd hand or something as there is a pretty small difference:

My play at 6max at the very start of this challenge really crippled it, this is something I will have to work on in the next while. Just looking at the graph now I'm sure anyone who reads this will be thinking does this guy actually win at all :)

$5,547.03

This month has started off pretty well so far. Have had a lot of soft games at heads up and played some 100nl 6max also. I've gotten about 6k hands in so far which is not much really. I've been very busy sorting stuff out with moving apartment and I don't have proper internet yet but this should be fixed tomorrow with UPC supposed to call around tomorrow morning. Not much else to report on, challenge is a long way off considering my inital plan was to be at $20k in about a months time. If I was at $10 in a month from now I would be delighted so will see how it goes.

$4,173.03

As the title suggests the last few days went bad. The plan from now on is to stick to HU as its the only game I have been able to beat for the last month. Everything else I have lost huge at. Hav't played today and very little yesterday. This month I plan on getting into a new routine which will hopefully improve my results. Last month one of my biggest problems was starting session when I knew I was not going to be able to play my best game. This WILL have to change this month.

$5,314.13

So got my desktop up and running with Windows 7 and it's fully ready for playing poker again. Have just being playing a bit more Heads Up which is still going really well. The only thing about it seems more of a grind than 6max and for that reason I find it hard to play any longer than an hour at a time even when I am losing. I suppose one of the reasons for this is that I am playing pretty weak opposition and therefore I am just playing like a robot all the time and not being challenged at all.

But I can't complain to much either because as long as you are running at normal EV its like stealing candy from a baby. Saying that though I've had a few of these babies buy in for $20 against me and run it up to $200 and then leave me which is the most frustrating thing about it at times. So the title says where I am at presently which is going in the right direction again but a long way from where I need to be, probably about $5.5k behind where I wanted to be but thems the breaks. Graph below since I started:

A few more hands this week

Got a few handa in over the last few days. Just being playing heads up and game selecting pretty well which is usually easy to do at these levels. Bad players usually just sit in and good players sit in and sit out pretty quickly so not much to that skill!! Since I've being back playing this week I've gotten in 1.5k hands and won just over $800 in total. Work has been very busy with me working all day today due to me being on call so didn't get a chance to play at all.

I'm going to install Windows 7 on my desktop now which is were I play 90% of the time so that will put me out of action for a good bit. So as far as the challenge goes I'm at $4,942.63 at the moment. Hopefully I will be able to get some more hands in over the next week with more positive updates.

Back playing a bit

Played a small bit just there now and yesterday also. I just played 2 small session of about 50mins each were I played 503 hands in total. It's more just to ease back into it again and book a couple of winning sessions in a row, helps with your mental game, rather than having a lot of losing sessions previous I now have booked 2 winning ones in a row for a tidy sum of $466.50.

I played only heads up games against poor competition so will try and do this for the next while and gain more confidence in my game again after the previous few weeks downswing.

Obviously the challenge is way behind and right now it doesn't look like I have a hope in hell of completing it by the end of June 2010 but will keep playing and updating this anyway and with a few nicely timed heaters things might get back on track. Right now the total is $4,596.33 so only $95,430.67 to go :)
